Although I have not made any outdoor artworks since 'Vestiges of Discomposition' for Tsukuba Art Center in 2016, I continue to make works that are at least created by natural forces or materials.
In a recent project in Busan, South Korea with the Open Arts Project, I have made 2 very different works.
The first, 'What the Earshells hear', uses abalone shells as resonators for the sound of the sea, recorded in 2016 at Songdo Beach, Busan. The sound is like a memory of a past time, and with the shells playing the sound, it is very quiet and hard to hear.
