'눈' Snow of Masuleh

마술레의 눈

마술레는 이란의 오래된 마을이다.

집들은 계단식으로 이어진다.

눈이 많이 내리는 날

마당 한가운데로 솟아있는

아랫집 굴뚝에는

눈이 쌓이지 않는다.

나는 눈을 쥐어 굴뚝위에

눈’이라고 쓴다.

‘눈’은

눈물이 되어 사라진다.

 

Snow of Masuleh

Masuleh is an old Iranian village.

Terraced houses as they go on.

On a snowy day snow doesn't pile up in the lower houses' chimney

that rose in the center of the front yard.

I hold a clump of snow and write '눈 snow' on the chimney.

'눈 snow' disappears as tears.
