About myself

I work conceptually. My areas of interest are painting, drawing, objects, photography, installations in indoor and out door space, land art projects and Nature-Art.

 

What I am do

After the end of my studies in philosophy in Stuttgart, painting and graphics at Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart, Staatl. Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe andStaatl. Hochschule für Bildende Künste Frankfurt am Main  - Städelschule –in 1980, I started ten years later with my first installations with natural green grass.

Sincethen, countlessinstallations in indoor and out door areas have emerged, partly exclusively with natural materials, sometimes in combination with iridescent films, mirror films and other materials.

I alwayswork site-specific, thatmeans, I start with research, what distinguishes the particular place, what's so speciala bout him, what his past historyis, etc., and then I develop an idea.

 

My interests in Nature art

I watch the nature since childhood. It is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for my art. She gives meendless amounts of energy and wisdom.

I read and I live in Nature and discover ever new. Nature surprises me and makes me gain new insights.

 

My art projects

Since the end of my studies I am drawing and painting among other things, Leaves, sometimes several meters high, and experiment with this issue today. I find analogies z. B. With cartography and other fields.

I like to discover natural phenomenas.

The ephemeral and transitory is often part of my installations.

Lately there have been many installations with mirrors and mirrorfoil in relationship to nature.

Residencies

Currently, I was invited in October 2014 fromYatoo as Artist in Residence by Wongol.

In 2005, I received the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art Wiesbaden the 2-month Moldova scholarship to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic.
