Peeter Laurits was born in 1962 in Tallinn. Mostly self-educated in history, philosophy, literature and arts, has attended Tartu, Tallinn and Leningrad Universities and New York International Center of Photography. Has exhibited internationally since 1990, working together with Roy Boyd Gallery / Chicago, The Living Art Museum / Reykjavik, Museu d’Agua / Lisbon, The Ragged School Gallery / London, Giedre Bartelt Gallery / Berlin, Pavlov Media Lab / Groningen, Holland and many others. Most important shows are „DeStudio Diseases and Metamorphoses“ 1993, „Birthday of Eternity“ 2001, „The Flood“ 2002, „Dining with Worms“ 2003, „Labyrinth“ 2005, „The Fifth Season“ 2007. Works are hosted in many private and public collections like Estonian Art Museum, Norton Dodge Collection, New York, Chicago University, KIASMA Helsinki, Museu da Agua, Lisbon.
