Visual artist and curator, Huang Jui-Chen, live in Taipei City in Taiwan. Since after studying fine arts at National Kaohsiung Normal Universit of the Arts Bachelor of Fine Art in 2001,and Taipei National University of the Arts in 2009, she had a fascination withnatural art. She always try to observe, explore, organize the beauty of nature in Taiwan by painting and taking photos. Her works show the feature of Sense and Sensibility. In recent years, she work inside nature like an anthropologist through fieldwork, such as measuring,collecting and taking photos of the plants for a long time. Leaves and flowers are her favorite material.
In Taiwan, Huang Jui-Chen won the Taipei City Government's arts grants in 2013.The next year, she won the Merit Award in 2014 Kaohsiung Awards, which is an important competition in the field of contemporary art in Taiwan.At the same time, she was selected as a participating artist of ‘Taiwan Biennial 2014’ held by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and a resident artist of ‘2014 Treasure Hill Artist Village’ held by the Taipei Culture Foundation.
