Eva Bubla is a Hungarian young artist, based in Asia since 2011. She graduated in painting, while in recent years her works became strongly connected to the environment, nurturing the values of environmental awareness. She has been present in various countries and researching on the social and ecological conditions of these places, with special emphasis on water and farming practices, the effect of urbanization, chemical farming and other commercial activities on the landscape, the identity of natural space and related social practices. Her installations and performances reflect on these issues, using mostly natural, reused or recycled materials. Other times, she goes to Nature with empty hands and creates site-specific works on the spot. She also aims to involve locals in the creating process as well as to find sustainable solutions for emerging ecological and social problems. She is the co-founder of Green Root Lab, an organization dealing with environmental art, education, and ecological activism. For her, Nature is a major teacher and collaborator.
