I’m Elena Redaelli ( Italy, 1981), I’m living and working in Norway since 2013. I enjoy travelling and getting to know our world and its diverse inhabitants through my art. After graduating in Sculpture from the Rome Academy of Fine Arts I developed an interest in textile and nature art. In 2008 I started reflecting upon natural forms and my sculptures became site-specific installations, merging with the surrounding environment. My gesture is translated into matter: it grows in volumes and models itself on nature or on the structures already in place. The knots are let free to dilate into space, thus building an instinctive, personal recreation of imaginary worlds. The goal of my art is to bring together natural and artificial matters through the mimesis of this two worlds. I commit myself to make my artworks environment-friendly. I have exhibited internationally and I have participated in international artists residencies: (Norway, China, Korea, Australia, Germany, Italy) and Nature Art Biennals: 2012 “ Nature, Human being & Sound”, Gongju, Korea/ 2011 “Poetic forest” Mount Lushan, China /
