글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트 Global Nomadic Art Project (2014~)

글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트(GNAP)는 야투가 40년간 발전시켜온 ‘자연미술’을 국토를 이동하면서 세계의 작가들과 교류하는 노마딕 아트 프로젝트이다. 각 나라별 국내외 작가, 이론가 그리고 기록 팀이 현장의 지리적, 환경적 상황과 문화적 특성을 탐색하며 이루어진다. '자연은 경계가 없다'라는 취지로 시작된 글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트는 자연 속에서 삶에 필요한 모든 것을 얻고, 떠날 때는 아무런 흔적을 남기지 않는 노마드의 삶처럼 인간의 삶의 근원인 이 땅을 움직이면서 인간내부의 본성적 예술의지가 자연과의 직접적인 접촉을 통해 어떻게 흘러나오는지를 보고자 한다.
글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트는 2013년 세계자연미술기획자대회를 통해 계획하고 추진 해왔으며 2014~2016, 2020~2021 글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트-코리아I,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ가 한국에서 성공리에 실행되었다. 해외프로젝트로는 인도(2015), 남아프리카공화국 과 이란(2016), 동유럽(불가리아, 루마니아, 헝가리), 프랑스, 리투아니아, 터키(2017), 독일(2017, 2019), 영국(2018), 멕시코와 이탈리아(2019)에서 각각 펼쳐졌다.
2020~2021년에는 팬데믹 상황에서 온라인과 오프라인이 결합된 전시활동으로 프랑스(2020, 2021), 독일(2021), 몽골(2020, 2021), 중국(2021)에서 개최되었다. 2022년에는 프랑스와 몽골의 각 현장에서 진행되었다.
글로벌노마딕아트프로젝트는 단지 결과물에 초점을 맞추는 일반 전시행사가 아니다. 본 프로젝트의 중요내용이 될 자연미술현장작업은 자연현장에서의 즉흥적인 행위, 일시적 설치로 진행되며 사진과 영상으로 기록된다. 사전 계획 없이 야외 공간 속에서 자연과 역사, 문화에 근거한 작업을 실행하게 되는데 이는 1981년 야투 창립이후 현재까지 진행해온 야투자연미술워크숍의 경험을 토대로 참여 작가들의 예술적 영감을 바탕으로 실행한다. 완성된 결과물은 최종 전시회를 통해 관람객들에게 공유된다.

Global Nomadic Art Project(GNAP) is a nomadic art project to exchange 'Nature Art' that has been developed by YATOO for 40 years with artists from around the world while travelling countries. Local and international artists, theorists and documentation teams from each country are formed to explore the geographical and environmental conditions and cultural characteristics of the site. Global Nomadic Art Project, which began with the aim of "nature has no border" gets everything needed for life in nature, and moves from and to the land, the source of human life, like nomard’s life, which leaves no trace when they leaves, to see how the intrinsic artistic senses within humans flows through direct contact with nature.
As a project that has been planned and promoted through the 2013 International Nature Art Curator's Conference, the Global Nomadic Art Project-KoreaⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅵ,Ⅴ(2014~2016, 2020~2021) was successfully implemented in Korea. The international projects took place respectively in India(2015), South Africa and Iran(2016), Eastern Europe(Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary), France, Lithuania, Turkey(2017), Germany(2017, 2019), UK(2018) and Mexico, Italy(2019). In 2020, under the COVID-19 pandemic, the activities combined online and offline carried out in France(2020, 2021), Germany(2021), Mongolia(2020, 2021), and Chian(2021). In 2022, it was carried out on each site of France and Mongolia.
Nature art field work, which will be an important part of the project, is carried out through improvised gestures at natural sites, temporary installations, and recorded in photos and videos. Without prior plan, work based on nature, history and culture will be carried out in an outdoor space followed by the artistic inspiration of participating artists based on the experience of the YATOO Nature Art Workshop, which has been conducted since its establishment in 1981. The results are shared with viewers through the exhibitions.
